What is “We are the city?”

It was an art festival that ran from 11 to 15 September 2013 in Ottawa. The goal of the festival was to celebrate the city.

”The city is more than a collection of pathways, the city unfolds from the connection, friction and contradiction of the shared world between the buildings around us. Together we make this city; the city is us and we are the city.”

What was your role in this project?

I created the concept for the website and worked with a developer to deliver the final product. Since the festival was focused around the city, I decided to use live cams from Ottawa to be displayed in the header of the website. Every time you visit the website you get shown a different a different street. The idea was to connect you with the city in a way that you had not experienced before.
